Toowoomba, the city on top of the range
Where the weather is known to frequently change.

The home of the gardens the trees and the parks
And, thankfully an absence of man eating sharks.

This city is famous for houses quite grand
And also for the fabulous Municipal Band.

The band is a brass one with musicians so fine
That at any competition they invariably shine.

They are men and women of all shapes and ages
Who have played their music on all sorts of stages.

The music they play has something for all
From marches to hymns, even rock, what a ball.

The band plays in contests all over the state
And also at concerts and the occasional fete.

Lorraine is their leader and she is the best
She has led them to victory in many a test.

So people get out there and give them a hand
And take my advice and LISTEN TO THE BAND.
